Understanding where we have been as a people helps us to navigate the road ahead.  At BEAM we believe that both success and failure leaves clues.  We want to examine where we have been, who we have become and then working collaboratively to decide how we strategically move our people forward.

To support our aim to learn from our past we host a number of black history lead events, mixing practical in-person visits and tours with talks to enrich the experience for our members.  We work in partnership with a number of organisations specialising in black history to ensure what is shared is not just opinion but facts.
